The original company was founded in 1998 with the current LLP being in operation since 2012. 

Our Managing Partners and the team have a background in and cover many industries, including TIME, Consumer/Retail, Financial Services, Automotive and industry. We are fully owner operated and passionate about what we do. 

We are still growing rapidly and would like to introduce many new initiatives, be it on the operational and financial side of our business internally or how we deal with our clients and candidates. Current initiatives include marketing, IT and infrastructure, to name just two.  

Especially interesting for potential interns might be that we are currently building a separate Venture Capital arm which would give them good exposure to both the consulting and finance sectors. 

The aims of this Internship

To involve the intern in one or more business initiatives in and around the new Venture Capital arm by tasking the successful candidate with a clearly defined research task or project which can be deliviered within the set timeframe. There will be good exposure to both the finance and consulting sectors.

Activities, duties and responsibilities

  • Performing in-depth market intelligence tasks for the investment team
  • Assisting in the execution of new investments
  • Assisting the establishment of the dealflow tracking platform
  • Working alongside the investment team in building financial models and providing strategic research and analysis to grow and shape the future of our businesses
  • Researching and scouting the corporate scene for new investment and partnership opportunities

Skills and Experience that will be useful for this internship - these will be used to shortlist candidates

Candidates should have:

  • Previous experience working with Excel as part of a related internship / university degree
  • A genuine interest in entrepreneurship, science & technology
  • Very strong quantitative and technical skills with attention to detail
  • An inquisitive mind with the ability to think strategically
  • Excellent problem solving skills and analytic ability
  • Quick learner with ability to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Excellent work ethic and drive for perfection

Please note: If you are successful in being made an offer from the company for this internship, you will need to complete an Internship Agreement Letter and return this to UCL Careers before the internship starts.

The role is ideal to gain experience in the venture capital industry, combining early stage investments with exposure to strategic growth investments and acquisitions. The intern will have gained a good understanding of and insight into the financial and VC activities of our executive search firm and also will have learnt to work on a project independently.

This opportunity is part of the UCL Careers Summer Internship Scheme. Part of the wage for the successful intern is provided by Santander Universities, but the successful intern will be paid the full amount through the host company's payroll as normal.
