The Company

CENTURY Tech is an adaptive learning platform that combines artificial intelligence, data science & cognitive neuroscience to deliver a game-changing education. Artificial intelligence technology provides students with a personalised learning path that recommends the best topics to study next. All messaging on the platform is personalised and grounded in cognitive neuroscience to encourage a growth mindset. 

Educators are provided with real-time, actionable student data, empowering them to make a real difference to their learners with effective and timely interventions. At the same time, the platform automates routine tasks such as, marking formative assessments, managing data and setting & tracking homework, freeing teachers to focus on what matters most: teaching.

CENTURY is currently focused on the UK KS4 market and corporate training. However, we are also exploring vocational training and moving into the international market.

The aim of the internship

The UCL intern will help us gain an in depth understanding of the many different market segments within education. Their research and analysis of the market will be shared with the team and used to influence our marketing campaigns and strategy moving forward.

Additionally, we will ask them to share their experience using the platform and to make suggestions they may have regarding improvements, adjustments and new features. This input will help to shape the future development and design of the platform.
 
Activities, duties and responsibilities
 
The role will include but not be limited to the following activities
  • Market research

  • Data analysis

  • Data entry

  • Creating, sending and tracking email campaigns

  • Uploading digital content to the platform

Skills and/ or experience that would be useful for this internship - applications will be shortlisted on this criteria

  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to analyse information
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent computer skills (we predominantly use the Google Suite)
  • The content we will be creating this summer will be GCSE level biology and chemistry, therefore we would ideally like to hire an intern who would be comfortable creating GCSE-level content in these subjects.
Please note: If you are successful in being made an offer from the company for this internship, you will need to complete an Internship Agreement Letter and return this to UCL Careers before the internship starts.

This opportunity is part of the UCL Careers Summer Internship Scheme. Part of the wage for the successful intern is provided by Santander Universities, but the successful intern will be paid the full amount through the host company's payroll as normal.
