iContract is an exciting startup which will revolutionise how contractors find and manage contracts, connect with recruiters and how recruiters find quality candidates. iContract creates a contractor community where you can search for jobs, build up your network among contractors, recruiters and employers, manage your contracts, share knowledge and access professional services under one roof.
Our platform will be ready to launch in April 2017, starting in the Financial Services, Legal and Technology sectors. The launch will be followed by a mobile app for instant connections, which is already in development, a recommendation programme to assess the quality of the contractors and a social universe for contractors where knowledge, expertise and anecdotes can be shared. The list goes on…

Aims of the internship
The main objective is to conduct researches on existing products on the marketing, compare solutions, suggest new ideas and new features for iContract platform, and help with the development of the platform alongside existing development team.
Expected outcome: Being able to think outside of the box, suggest useful features and draft up product proposals, help the current team on development tasks
Activities, duties and responsibilities
iContract will be building our version 2 in the summer and we are looking for an intern with computer programming related degree, preferably has knowledge in artificial intelligence to conduct thorough market research on how AI can be applied to iContract algorithm to match contractors with jobs and recruiters with candidates in a more effective way. Furthermore, how can we use review system to further assess candidate quality in an easy and user riendly way without losing user scalability.
The intern will be required to conduct researchs on current AI tools in the market, draft proposal to suggest logics and architecture for iContract, and assist on daily coding tasks alongside the existing team.
Skills and Experience that would be useful for this internship - applications will be shortlisted on this criteria
Computer programming related degree is essential, preferably Master or PHD student in computer sicence with focus on artificial intelligence.

The intern will gain experience in a real start up environment, being involved in designing and building a new product, learn agile development and project management skills as well as being involved in investment raising activities.
This opportunity is part of the UCL Careers Summer Internship Scheme. Part of the wage for the successful intern is provided by Santander Universities, but the successful intern will be paid the full amount through the host company's payroll as normal.
