We are an award winning boutique architecture practice specialising in delivering luxury buildings and interiors. We mainly work in the private residential sector but do some commercial work.
Our projects involve high levels of precision and detail and we provide what we call a total design service where we design the architecture, interiors, furniture and lighting.
Both directors have experiences in other design fields including lighting design, product and furniture design and blacksmithing. The practice adopts a multi faceted approach and draws upon the skills of a wide range of artisans to develop and realise projects.
Aims of the internship
The aim of the internship would be for the candidate to be involved in the cataloguing of details and construction techniques and also the development of standard design documents we use in the office to streamline our design processes.
Activities, duties and responsibilities
We would also expect the candidate to keep a design diary and be actively involved in a live project. We would ensure that they are producing drawings, carrying out site visits and contribute to design discussion in the office. Ultimately the placement would provide not only experience but a tangible benefit to their portfolio in the form of the design diary.
Please note: If you are successful in being made an offer from the company for this internship, you will need to complete an Internship Agreement Letter and return this to UCL Careers before the internship starts.
Benefits and tangible skills/ experience the intern will gain by the end of the internship
You will have produced a document called a design diary that records your experience and can be added to your folio.
We will expect you to be attending design, client and site meetings and we will include you in design discussions. Ideally you would be able to focus one project for the duration of your time with us.
Candidates must be studying or hold one (or both) of the following qualifications:
