Job Purpose
The purpose of the role is to develop a high quality e-Learning module on Recruitment and Interview Selection in line with legislation and QMUL policies.

The role is suitable for a highly motivated, self-managing individual, who is able to balance the demands of work and study whilst supporting QMUL staff by contributing to the effective use of learning technologies across the university.

The role will involve close working with members of the Professional Development team and liaison with all levels of staff across QMUL.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • To develop, deliver and evaluate QMUL’s e-Learning module for Recruitment and Selection
  • Work with the project lead and other QMUL staff members to complete any and all projects to develop identified e-Learning resources
  • Take responsibility for planning and prioritising their workload to ensure the successful and timely completion of their projects
  • Ensure project fully reflects current appropriate legislation and QMUL policies
  • Work with project leads to plan how to carry out their work
  • Carry out user testing and integrate feedback in finalising project for launch
  • Deal with problems which may affect their work activities within their capabilities, referring more difficult problems to the project lead
To undertake any such other duties, including special projects, as may be requested by the Head of Leadership and Professional Development or Director of Human Resources
About You:
Experience of developing on-line content (e.g. blogging, group/personal website)
Experience of writing content for public use
Experience of development and design of teaching resources to create an attractive, user-friendly and accessible learning platform
Experience of creating multimedia resources (e.g. videos, tutorials, podcasts, discussion forums)
Strong IT skills to include use of all MS Office and which may also include: web development skills (e.g. HTML)
Knowledge of Virtual Learning Environments/Content Management
Knowledge of developing video content based on situational judgement test scenarios
Good interpersonal and human relations skills
Experience of conducting training needs analyses
Experience of planning and coordinating learning and development work
Knowledge of; theoretical models in Learning and Development; Leadership and Management Development (LMD) and in design and delivery methodologies.
An understanding of the learning and developments needs and challenges of a diverse, multi-profession organisation.
