Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Student Experience Manager to work within one of our prestigious institutes based near Russell Square. This is a full time, temporary position starting as soon as possible.

Job Purpose:

By managing various Student Experience focused initiatives, the Student Experience Manager (SEM), will assist the Associate Director:

Student Experience in improving the student experience and enhancing all aspects of the student journey from first enquiry to graduation and future employability. A key requirement will be to support and augment work already initiated within departments as well as new projects and work closely with a range of colleagues across the University and the stakeholder community. The SEM will be key in the practical implementation of all Student Experience initiatives, to enhance reaction, engagement, support, retention and completion 

Job Content:

Develop project management skills to manage operational implementation of a number of Student Experience initiatives

Proactively building online relationships with our student community by working closely with Member Institutions to enhance the student experience. This would include involvement in developing a student induction, improving SE provision for new and existing programmes and other online support initiatives and communications.

To work with Student Experience Campaign Manager to plan and co-ordinate intervention support at key lifecycle stages and develop our communications and improve outreach to students across all digital platforms and social media.

To review and engage with various student survey qualitative and quantitative data, data analytics and sentiment to suggest improvements and implement agreed strategy and project outcomes

Review risks and issues relating to Student Experience that are identified in the Annual Programme and Planning Reviews for every programme and seek to embed or implement change to offset the challenges identified

To assist the Associate Director in delivery of Business Placements and other employment opportunities for our student body

Assist with the implementation and maintenance of a student facing CRM, to include intervention communications, pastoral messaging, support and engagement.

Working with colleagues across Directorates, develop the existing relationships with Teaching Centres in order to better engage with the students who study there, gather feedback on student experience/business processes and work to improve their experience collectively

To actively follow and promote the University of London policies, including the University's Dignity at Work and Equal Opportunities Policy and actively promote these wherever possible.

To maintain an awareness and observation of fire and health and safety regulations

Any other duties consistent with both the grade and scope of the post

Any other duties reasonably required of the post holder by the reporting manager

Person Specification:

EXPRIENCE & PERSONAL QUALITIES

Essential:

Knowledge of how to operationalise and manage delivery of new initiatives, ideally in an educational context

Experience of managing integrated campaigns on multiple communication channels, including planning, development and implementation.

Knowledge of H.E. student life-cycle administrative procedures and processes

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proactive, responsive and flexible in relation to meeting needs of all stakeholders

Ability to produce work of the highest quality and in line with target dates.

An excellent eye for detail, able to draw together multiple strands of work to deadlines without compromising engagement and customer focus

Desirable:

Previous project management experience

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Essential:

Ability to analyse data and report outcomes with the ability to write reports for a wide array of stakeholders

Understanding of digital communication channels, particularly email and social media.

Organisational skills of the very highest quality

Experience in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

Degree level or equivalent education

Working Hours – 35 hours per week – full time

Pay rate - £17.21 per hour plus holiday pay
