Job title: Data Analyst (Graduate role)

Department: Commercial Excellence Team

Salary: £21,000 per annum (Please note that a salary increase is not negotiable at this stage)

Term: 12 months - ASAP

Hours: Full-time 35 hours

Location: Middlesex, Feltham (Piccadilly line- West London) Only applicants who are happy to travel here on a full time basis will be shortlisted.

Deadline:  Role will be advertised until placed. Start date looking to be June/July 2019

The Role

To provide the business with sales force effectiveness data through existing platforms and through engaging with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes and to bring data related innovations to the business.

In this role you will be a key member of the UK and Ireland Commercial Excellence Team, operating within a high profile area of the business where your contributions will be highly visible. Key deliverables

  • Providing the business with effective and timely reports to enable brand teams to make informed decisions to drive strategy and tactic development
  • To process data through established and new reporting platforms
  • To identify opportunities to streamline existing processes
  • Liaise with data providers to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Support the transition of reporting functions into a robust and sustainable data model

Candidate requirements

  • Graduate to degree level
  • Strong written and verbal skills (Stakeholder engagement) 
  • Previous experience of working with data in either an academic or work environment 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment where there may be conflicting priorities.
  • Pro-active and resourceful approach, ability to recognise issues early and determine solutions.

Preferable but not essential:

  • Previous work experience in a finance or data reporting role
  • Advanced MS (Excel & Access Databases, SharePoint)
  • Working with Big Data
  • Previous experience in using Tableau, Qlik Sense or similar
