At Nesta our Challenges team is at the forefront of identifying and defining problems where new ideas, technologies and approaches can be encouraged to radically improve outcomes and then developing and managing challenge prizes that optimise the likelihood of success. Challenge prizes are competitions which reward whoever can first, or most effectively, meet a defined challenge.

Nesta Challenges has launched prizes that include improving outcomes for Nepalese farmers, improving access to energy for refugees and the £10m Longitude Prize for antimicrobial resistance. Some of our current prizes include the EU Social Innovation CompetitIon, the Mobility Unlimited Challenge and new prizes aimed at using tech to reduce social isolation, improve access to justice and engaging young people to develop innovations for social good.

 The Role

The temporary role is up to 3 weeks, where we expect the individual to complete the Nesta Challenges Impact Framework specifically for our earlier prizes, to locate high-level information about the prize itself, the innovators - organisation type, location, size, gender representation, skills and capabilities development and potential wider ecosystem impacts that the prizes may have had.

  • Families Included (full review of data needed)
