Job Description:
Recruitment has opened for an initial 6-month internship, with a view to transition to a permanent role if the internship is successful. The successful intern is expected to start immediately and will be based in their London Office.

Avid Media are a leader in content marketing and native distribution. We provide a programmatic native demand-side platform to agencies and clients, offering end-to-end solutions for marketers to understand brands content, provide content insights, manage distribution and dynamically feed the best content into the most effective native format.

Role and Responsibilities

The Data Operations Executive role is largely focused on producing data and targeting insights using Avid Media/ Avid Media - Dentsu Aegis’s proprietary data insights tool, Canopy. Canopy enables brands to connect with their audiences and immediately highlights the effectiveness and impact of current advertising campaigns as well as identify the most relevant content to target campaigns to. Canopy is also a valuable tool for future planning of campaigns, showing what is of interest to the actual customers that brands aim to target.

General duties include:

  • Prepare proactive and seasonal reports based on client briefs and pitches
  • Work with targeting technology partners to create, update and troubleshoot canopy targeting strategies.
  • Prepare pre, mid and post campaign canopy reports
  • Monthly creation of Canopy reports for supply partners
  • Prepare targeting recommendations based on Canopy analysis and insights
  • Liaise with technology and adops teams to ensure the correct implementation of canopy targeting strategies.
  • Work with the Data Insights Manager and the Canopy dev team to roll out new UI features and develop product requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Graduate required.

  • Excellent data interpretation manipulation and analysis skills.
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Positive, happy and smart
  • Ability to cope with occasional times of pressure. (usually end of month/quarter)
  • Problem solving mind
  • Ability to read and understand reports
  • MS Excel and Powerpoint knowledge
  • Proactive attitude
  • Extraordinary attention to detail

Preferred Skills

  • A strong understanding of or experience in internet content analysis and tools would be a benefit – Trend analysis etc.

Additional Notes

There are three main facets to Avid Media:

1)         Agency content sales and distribution via our PMP (Private Market Place) of sites

2)         Video advertising technology providers to international companies

3)         Content creation, management and distribution technology creators. (DS/SSP)

Agile Working

Avid Media operate in an agile working environment and adopt staggered hours. This means that all employees will be able to choose the hours they work provided they work core hours of 10am to 4pm. For example, employees can start working at 8am and leave at 4.30pm or start at 10am and work until 6.30pm. Work permitting, we also have the option to finish an hour early on a Friday.
